Bio

I have spent a lifetime making and teaching art. My professional training includes a BA in Fine Arts from Indiana University (1990) and an MFA in Painting from the University of Cincinnati (1994).

I have taught art in academic, community, and volunteer settings. Click here to see my teaching resume.

A special interest of mine is the study and enjoyment of the natural sciences, especially geology, microbiology, and cosmology. I often incorporating ideas from these studies into my imagery and way of working. Check out my artist’s statement to read more.

I currently live with my husband and daughter near Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
